Terms of Service
Last updated 26 July 2026 · Installing the Flockly app means accepting these.
These terms govern your use of Flockly, a social media planning app for Shopify stores, and of this website. Installing the app means you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
Flockly is provided by [[ LEGAL ENTITY NAME ]], [[ REGISTERED ADDRESS ]] (“Flockly”, “we”). You are “the merchant” or “you”.
The service
Flockly lets you plan, tailor, schedule and publish posts to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest and X, build a shoppable Shop Grid page, reply to comments and direct messages, and see analytics including revenue attributed to Shopify orders. Exactly which features you get depends on your plan.
Your account and your store
- You need an active Shopify store to use Flockly.
- You are responsible for keeping your Shopify and social account credentials secure.
- You are responsible for everything published from your connected accounts through Flockly, whether scheduled by you or by a colleague with access to your store.
Your content
You keep all rights in the text, images and video you put into Flockly. You grant us a limited licence to store, reproduce, adapt and transmit that content solely to operate the service — for example to resize an image for a network’s required aspect ratio, or to deliver a post to Instagram. That licence ends when you delete the content or uninstall the app.
You confirm that the content you publish through Flockly:
- is yours, or you have permission to use it;
- does not infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights;
- is not unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, or otherwise prohibited; and
- complies with the terms of every network you publish it to.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Flockly to send spam, or to publish at a rate that breaches a network’s rules;
- resell, sublicense or white-label the service without our written agreement;
- reverse engineer the app, or attempt to access another merchant’s data;
- interfere with the service, or use it to break the law.
We may suspend an account that does any of these, and will tell you why.
Third-party networks
Flockly publishes through third-party APIs. Those networks set their own rules, rate limits and outages, and they change them without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to keep publishing working, but we cannot guarantee that a given post will be delivered, that a metric will be available, or that a feature will keep working if a network withdraws its API. Where a network fails, Flockly reports the failure rather than hiding it.
Some features are limited by what the networks allow, not by us. Comment inboxes are available for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn only; direct messages for Instagram and Facebook only, and only within Meta’s 24-hour reply window.
Analytics and attribution
Attributed revenue counts Shopify orders whose customer journey started on a link Flockly tracked. It is a measurement, not a guarantee: journeys that cross devices, use an ad blocker, or arrive by another route may not be counted. Where a network does not report a metric, Flockly leaves it blank rather than estimating it. You should not treat these figures as audited financial records.
Plans, billing and trials
- Plans are Starter ($19/month), Growth ($39/month) and Scale ($69/month). Paying yearly takes 20% off.
- Every plan includes all six channels and unlimited scheduled posts.
- New stores get a 14-day free trial, which runs at the Growth tier.
- All charges are made through Shopify App Pricing and appear on your Shopify invoice. We never see your card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel by uninstalling the app or changing your plan in Flockly.
- Charges already billed are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, or where we agree in writing. If we get it wrong, we will put it right.
If we change prices we will give you at least 30 days’ notice, and the change will not take effect until your next billing period.
Availability
We aim to keep Flockly available and to give notice of planned maintenance, but the service is provided without an uptime guarantee unless we have agreed one with you in writing.
Ending it
You can stop using Flockly at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify admin. We may terminate or suspend access if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service — in which case we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your content. Data deletion after termination is described in our Privacy Policy.
Warranties and liability
Flockly is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability arising out of or relating to these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from content you publish through Flockly, or from your breach of these terms or of a network’s terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and for material changes we will notify you in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Flockly after that means you accept them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [[ GOVERNING LAW / JURISDICTION ]], and the courts of [[ JURISDICTION ]] have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either of us may seek injunctive relief in any competent court.
